55th Reunion Update #3 4/28/26 - Dinner Location Change!

Folks sorry for rhe delay in sending out this update; I had some health challenges to work through this winter, but all is good now. During my downtime I continued to work on the arrangements for our 55th reunion weekend August 7-8.

The significant topics in this update are: 1) review reunion dates/activities, 2) change of dinner location and 3) need to get firm commitment or seriously considering or not coming to the dinner.

Reunion dates/activities (no change):

- Friday evening August 7th gather again at Nick Marano's Falls Sports Lounge (19335 Carlisle near Outer Dr.). For those who came to this gathering at our 50th it was a fun evening to begin catching up or make a new classmate.acquaintenace especially for folks coming from out of town. If things go as planned I will have your name tag with a larger yearbook picture to give you that evening.

- Saturday morning August 8th walk through our beloved hallowed EFHS halls. I talked with the EFHS office manager about our 55th reunion weekend and asked if we can walk around that morning to remince our fun 1969-71 school days. She said we can arrange that; more details later.

- Saturday evening August 8th reunion dinner from 5pm-11pm. LOCATION CHANGE, Since our previous 50th reunion the Park Place has changed ownership and feedback from folks who have been there say the new ownership service and facilities has gone down hill. So I researched, found, connected and received quotes from 7 locations in the Dearborn area for our dinner.

The locations I checked are the Detroit River Cruise, Ford's Garage, Dearborn Hills GC, HFCC, UM-DBN, Ford Center for Performing Arts and Dearborn Banquet Hall. In evaluating these locations the criteria used are 1) keep total evening / dinner under $75, 2) available SaturdayAugust 8th 5-11pm, 3) several food choices / service, and 4) a room for our size group in an comfortable / informal to move around for conversations and such.

The location that best matches the above criteria is Dearborn Banquet Hall (dearbornbanquethall.com), 7910 Greenfield Rd in Dearborn just south of Tireman, please check out their website to view potential food choices (actual food choices are forthcoming). I already paid the deposit because I've been informed our reunion account has almost $0 in it.

What's next at this time: I need to get a firm commitment if you will be attending or just need to finalize your plans coming to the reunion dinner (dinner price is $75/person). Below is a survey question for everyone to provide your intention (this is needed to confirm the dinner party arrangements with the hall). Please reply by May 20th. As survey feedback is received I will again send out frequent updates on who's attending our fun Saturday dinner evening gathering.
