55th Reunion update #6 7/9/26

Folks, as I mentioned in my Update #5 with less than 60 classmates saying that will attending our 55th reunion that made the price of having a dinner over $90/person, so we decided to have the usual Friday/Saturday gatherings at nice Dearborn area bars/taverns. 

Based on Survey #1 (in 12/25) the majority of you indicated the reunion should be this August, so the dates were set back then for August 7-8 (which is also the City of Dearborn Annual Homecoming Festival weekend).

Our recent survey asked what bar/taverns for our gatherings. Responses were Fall Sports Bar (Nick Marano's bar), Miller Bar, Kelly's Irish Pub, The Biergarten, Oakwood Bar and maybe some other local nice bar. I drove in from Chicago and checked out all these locations to see if they have an outside covered area (like Fall's), a nice private gathering room, provide a dedicated serving person and/or a bar/grill that can handle our individual food and drink choices (you pay).

The 2 locations that best fit all these items are Miller's Bar and 342 Bar/grill (they both have websites). Note: Fall's Sports Bar no longer has the outside tent we used at our 50th and does not have a private gathering room. So I made paid reservations at both Miller's and 342 for us.

As I did for our 50th reunion emails I included the names of folks who said they are coming or said that may come. So here is the current list:

Also want to let you know this email gets delivered to 270 registered classmates, 170 read update #5 and just 35 responded.

I plan to provide a larger font name tag on a lariat so folks can remember each other or make a new friend.

Between now and July 31 if you tell me you are coming I'll make you a name tag. Also around August 3rd I will send out an updated email of folks that are coming so we all know and have fun reminiscing again.
